Chevrolet brought Silverado new engine options. In particular, the gasoline engine version will use a 6.6L V8 engine with a capacity of 401 horsepower. This engine is combined with an improved 6-speed automatic transmission, which comes with a rear or 4-wheel drive system. New technologies adopted by Chevrolet on V8 engines are direct petrol injection and variable valve timing.

A remarkable technology is the dual hook Advanced Trailering System with a total of 15 external cameras, providing optimal visibility when Silverado HD pulls additional trailers. In addition to the Workd Truck version, Silverado HD also has four other configurations including: 2500HD LT (43,395 USD), 2500HD LTZ (52,095 USD) and the highest configuration 2500HD High Country (62,695 USD).

Compared to competitors in the segment, the power of Silverado HD is nothing significant. However, the main difference is the tremendous pulling power of this model. Silverado HD 2020 can pull a volume of up to 16.1 tons – 52% improvement over its predecessor.
